iPiccy Artist Highlight: Horace Ryan

We love to see iPiccy Photo Editor being put to work, so that’s why we made the iPiccy Artist Highlight. Whether you’re a beginner, a seasoned professional, or just someone who stumbled upon the page, we’d love to see what you do with iPiccy! Last time we featured Stephen Lodge.

Today we’re featuring an iPiccy user by the name of Horace Ryan. He responded to our call with multiple examples of his work namely his tumblr album, and we’re very excited to share them with you. It should be noted, Horace’s work is for an older crowd, he has an 18 and over prerequisite on his page. Before we get to the photos, let’s get to know our artist a little bit first.

Most of the work Horace puts in with iPiccy is to put his personal flair on his work. He is a big fan of 60’s and 70’s rock, and listens to it regularly while he works. You can see that reflected in his work, as the music of those eras are often described as smooth and psychedelic, and that is exactly how I would describe Horace’s work.

He has a clear affinity for use of intense and vibrant colors, and often uses these colors to accentuate a certain part of his models. Horace also shows a keen attention to detail.

Let’s start checking out Mr. Ryan’s work!

Here you can see a lot of the attention to detail I mentioned, especially in regards to the model’s eyelashes.

This picture is an excellent example of what I meant when I discussed Horace’s psychedelic and smooth style, as evidenced by what is going on in the eyes of the model.

These two show Horace’s great work when it comes to accentuating certain features, as both these women prominently have their lips featured in these pictures by use of shadows and color.
